Ruellia sp. nov.


This species – surely sister or very very near to Ruellia tarapotana that I just recently learned with Dina and Manuel in Bolivia…..but clearly different by its white corollas. I don’t think it has a name. Surrender to the mystery.

We found it in two localities in southern Colombia, both in the vicinity of Morelia (not far from Florencia). Grows in very wet, still, quiet forests…
